In the late 1990s this was one of the albums that really made me think about the funk soul side of jazz and experimental free-form, and all the possibilities that came with that wild combination. A while back I found out that it was for the first time ever being released on vinyl from the original analog recordings. It was a must have for me, and today it finally arrived! Truly an album that still to this day is one of the very best. Over the years it has led me down the road to find many artists that inspired this one's creation. From Billy Cobham to Miles, Joe Farrell, Herbie Hancock and on, it is a long list of the incredible music in the same genre that I discovered simply because of this one album coming into my life. Here I am today, full circle now, with the album that started that entire musical journey for me and that is not even to mention the influence it made on me as a musician! Finally hearing this one in its full beauty and splendor via vinyl analog is more than I could have ever hoped for. It did not disappoint in the least, and frankly if the 1990s had been the 1970s, it would have left shock waves across the entire world of the Soul Jazz, Fusion Funk scene, because it is that great of an album in every way! I can simply say that after 25 years since its release, it is still a Classic that matches the great artists and albums that inspired the GREYBOY ALL STARS to make music this amazing, and it stands on its own merits with pride and equal footing, right next to some of the greatest LPs of its genre! Thank you The Greyboy Allstars for this wonderful music and for bringing it to where it belongs, on Vinyl!!! Most Sincerely, Matt in Ohio
